Chen Style Tai Chi Bristol

Frank Pring is the primary instructor of Chen Style Tai Chi Bristol, and is well established as a Tai Chi practitioner and teacher.  His passion for martial arts as a physical exercise began many years ago during his travels to Japan, where he first experienced people starting their day with group exercise in parks and open spaces for their health and well-being.

Frank’s interest aroused, he began practising the Japanese martial art of Shotokan Karate before changing direction to the study and practice of the Chinese internal arts - Tai Chi Chuan, Bagua and Yiquan.  He now teaches Chen Style Tai Chi Chuan and continues to explore all aspects of the art.

His long term and valued mentors are Karel and Eva Koskuba of the Chinese Internal Arts Association. Frank also trains with the top Chen masters in the world, attending workshops with Master Chen Xiao Wang, Chen Ying Jun, and Master Chen Bing.

In 2006 Frank stepped back from his career as a personal development consultant to teach Tai Chi full time and is passionate about introducing the experience of the art to as wide an audience as possible.  His daughter Natasha also studies Chen Style Tai Chi and teaches in London.
